(That's How I Got To) Memphis

by The Stick Arounds

/

about

Before Jeff formed The Stick Arounds with Matt and Jason, he was the frontman in a country outfit called The Gentleman Callers. Classic country runs through his veins. In fact, the golden era of country is an important influence on the whole band, and in many ways shapes the way we see and hear melody and harmony.

There is no better example of how The Sticks have meshed the worlds of power pop and country together than this cover of (That’s How I Got To) Memphis, written by the great Tom T. Hall.

You’ll hear the hallmark lament of great country music and the jangle and harmony of power pop. We’ve been playing this live for years and it’s a treat to share the recorded version with you for the June Hot Single.

You can get your copy for FREE right now for a limited time. Go get some.

Tying all of that together is a signature three guitar attack featuring lush vocal harmonies, all backed by a pulsing rhythm section.
